When we live in a world, where technology rules over us, it is easy to forget the little things. Not only the little things, but the things that take a small amount of time but aren’t as instant as most things that surround us. Something as simple as a handwritten note seems to slip by the wayside. Heck, even Hallmark has banked on the power of an electronic card – no need to stop at the store, no need to write in the card and surely no need to buy a stamp and drop it in the mailbox.

So I challenge you with this – if you are short on gifting someone a present or want to add an extra special touch to tomorrow’s gift giving, I want you to write a handwritten note. It doesn’t have to be anything excessive in length. But the thought that you took the time to think of another person, write them something with your own handwriting with a loving message will speak way more volumes than some gifts you could have given otherwise.
A handwritten note is you in its rawest form. No way of erasing and starting over. The beauty of a mistake is the beauty of the person’s soul pouring itself onto the paper and sometimes our words get a bit jumbled with excitement. No need to start over, just be you and that is the best someone can ask for.
