This is the time of year when we are caught in the mundane day to day that winter offers us, just wishing warmer weather was coming sooner. With each day of cold weather, is yet another day we long for spring – even harder. Why, oh why, winter do you do this to us?
Instead of getting caught up in the negative energy wishing we were somewhere else, it is important to put ourselves in check. Not to say it is one thing that can take us from zero to our very own winter hero, but it is the small steps that get us to the bigger picture.
Your first step to the winter reawakening challenge – I dare you to take is change up the sounds of your environment.
Take a moment and think about what sounds surround you. Surprisingly you may start to notice some more birds are chirping. They are just as antsy as you, but also know the weather better than you do. Take note to their sounds. Embrace their song and know that spring is on its way.

Change up your music. Find songs that are more uplifting. Search for songs in your music library that remind you of summer and warmer weather. Be on the search for new music.
