The holidays are some of the busiest times of the year for us. It can be a combination of sheer chaos mixed with some of the most magical moments of the year. Truly we love the holidays and what it has in store for us each year.
So yes, during this time of chaos I challenge you to add one more thing to your plate. Why wait to start it on the first of the year with the bazillion other resolutions you may have? Because I think the real key here, is if you can pick up a new habit during one of the busiest times of the year, then you are sure to carry it over into the new year.
Take a moment to think about this… what is something you have been meaning to pick up but keep procrastinating. Whatever that thing may be, you are no longer going to procrastinate and pick up the habit right now. If you aren’t coming up with any ideas off-hand, think about if any of these may work for you.
- adding more greens into your life
- eating more organic or raw
- walking at least 20 minutes every day (or working out)
- mindful breathing/meditating – this could be as little as five minutes
- practicing daily yoga
- being artsy/creating
- laughing with a child
- reading more
- training for a race
- posting on social media every day
- positive self-talk
- expanding your business
These are just some of the ideas that otherwise could be an endless list of possibilities.

Expanding Your Business
This can be as simple as talking to a couple strangers at your next holiday party about what you do. Referrals are the gold in making more money. The more people that know about what you do, the more you can drive traffic without spending a single cent. And of course, we can’t forget our friends at Entrepreneur magazine and their strategies on how to grow your business.
All in all, it is up to you, but I really think you have the potential to start a new habit right this very moment. Well, maybe not this very moment, but at least before you go to bed tonight. Believe and it is possible!
