We caught up with Danielle Epstein to see how she is staying fit, staying motivated, and what her ‘easy meal’ is–you might be shocked when you find out what it is!
E: How are you staying fit without being able to go to the gym?
DE: I’m loving online and IG TV workouts, especially the shorter ones I can pick and choose to customize what I want to work on, and don’t necessarily have to commit to an hour in the gym!
E: What is your go-to workout people can do at home?
DE: I like to alternate between workouts that incorporate some cardio elements, like @keonihudoba and @isaacboots and then toning, Pilates style workouts that create long lean muscles. My go-to’s in that category are Legs by Lauren from my girl @lifeoflaurenashley and zoom classes from @nofarmethod!
E: What is your favorite ‘easy button’ meal to make at home?
DE: Spaghetti and meatballs! If I’m feeling healthy I’ll use spaghetti squash or zuccini noodles which is something @healthywithnedi turned me on to years ago! She has the best easy, healthy, and delicious recipes on her website and Instagram.
E: When ordering Door Dash/Uber Eats, how do you make sure you order a healthy meal?
DE: I love salads from Sweetgreen. But my favorite thing to order in is Thai food. Usually not healthy!!
E: What is keeping you motivated right now?
DE: Working from home gives me the flexibility of popping down to the gym for a quick workout every day, even if it’s just 20 min. There’s so much great workout content out there being created, a lot of it totally free, so there’s no excuse not to stay fit!
E: What is your favorite healthy snack?
DE: The healthiest snack I ever eat is probably an apple and peanut butter!
E: What is your favorite EBOOST product right now and why?
DE: I’ve always been a huge fan of the POW pre workout. It gives me the motivation to start moving and get into the gym.
E: What does your morning routine look like (if you have one)?
DE: I answer some emails from the bed and then make a coffee and workout.
E: If there is one piece of equipment someone could get the most results from while working out at home (or the local park), what would it be?
DE: I love the resistance bands with ankle cuffs. They Velcro around your ankles. I use the yellow extra light one from SPRI which is easy on my hip flexors and you can buy it on Amazon.
E: What is your motto right now?
DE: Perception is reality!!!
