There are some fitness instructors that really know how to make you sweat! Arlene Ferrer is one of those! She teaches cycling at CYC in New York City. She’s known for her music selection. It’s never dull and consists of sexy, fun electronic dance beats that will keep your revolutions moving, your sweat dripping and your booty shaking for hours afterward. Arlene is also one of our new EBOOST Ambassadors!
Why do you use EBOOST?
EBOOST is my best friend everytime I jump on the podium to teach one of my spinning classes. It gives me a ton of energy and focus, which makes the class a success!
What’s your workout routine?
My current workout routine has me on a spin bike at CYC seven times a week. You’ll find me there either teaching or taking a class. Plus, I love yoga. I “Namaste” three times a week to keep sane! There is no other routine in the world that gives me the kind of rush and satisfaction that these cycling and yoga bring.
What do you eat in a typical day?
In the morning, I’ve gotta have an EBOOST to help me wake up. Pink Lemonade is my jam. From there I walk to Summers Juice & Coffee to pick up a Yellow Fresh-pressed juice with pineapple, green apple, daikon radish, ginger, and turmeric. It’s my absolute go too and fav! If I’m on the go take two hard-boiled eggs with me, but if I have time to eat at home, I prefer two scrambled eggs with kale, thyme, and fresh squeezed lemon juice.
For lunch, I love any kind of soup, and I’m a big fan of eating out of bowls! So you’ll find me with a big bowl of pho, or a big salad of any kind.
I usually need a mid-afternoon pick me up with an EBOOST Pink Lemonade and a handful of almonds.
For dinner, I’m pretty basic. I will have some sort of green and a protein, lately, that’s either steak or fish.
