The countdown is almost here. A countdown to a new year where we can kiss the year we just had goodbye and open our arms to a new year full of new potentials. The more traditional way to welcome in a new year is with a good party and some drinks. Others might celebrate at home with some loved ones struggling to make it to that midnight hour. And then there are some that don’t quite get the hype. For us, this year we are going to countdown with a workout and a nice post-workout watermelon recovery drink recipe and we invite you to join us.
Countdown Workout
We are going to first start off by honoring each month of the year. Since there are 12 months, we are going to countdown from 12. Oh and all you need for this workout is just yourself.
- 12 Burpees
- 11 Push ups
- 10 Jump squats
- 9 Double crunches
- 8 Jump lunges
- 7 Mountain Climbers
- 6 Speed skaters
- 5 Jumping knee tucks
- 4 Reverse Burpees
- 3 Inch worms
- 2 :30 second side planks
- 1 minute plank
Now to honor how many days in each month. Each month with 31 days you will complete 31 sit ups. Each month with 30 days you will complete 30 air squats. Each month with 28 days you will complete 28 burpees

- February โ 28 burpees
- March โ 31 sit ups
- April โ 30 air squats
- May โ 31 sit ups
- June โ 30 air squats
- July โ 31 sit ups
- August โ 31 sit ups
- September โ 30 air squats

Watermelon Recovery Drink Recipe
serves 2
ingredients
1 service RESCUE
ยผ cup lime juice about 2 limes juiced
1 cups club soda
4 sprigs of mint
instructions
- Slice four thin rounds from your limes. Set aside to be used for garnish. Juice the rest of the two limes.
- In a medium bowl, mix lime juice and RESCUE.
- Place 5 mint leaves at the bottom of each of the glasses. Use a muddler to release the flavor of the mint.
- Fill glasses with ice. Pour RESCUE and lime juice mixture evenly in the glasses. Top with club soda until full. Gently stir with a spoon.
- Garnish each glass with reserved lime wedge. Enjoy!
