The game that millions of football fans get excited for is just around the corner. Whether you are a serious football watcher, just there for the entertainment, or maybe your spouse dragged you into watching it, why not make it even more fun by doing a workout challenge while watching the game.
This can be as serious or as fun as you want it to be and everyone can partake. All you need is yourself, a little bit of space and the attention span to pay attention to the game (or at least someone paying enough attention so you don’t miss something for the workout).
First, start off by picking a team you want to play for out of the two teams playing in the game. With each challenge, this will determine what you need to do, in regards to if ‘your’ team did it or the other team did it.
Challenge 1: During the National Anthem see how long you can hold a plank. Record your time.
Challenge 2a: Your team scored a touchdown, do 2 victory laps around the living room.
Challenge 2b: The other team just scored a touchdown, do 2 burpees for each point. (This includes the extra 1-2 points too.)
Challenge 3a: Your team sacked the other team’s quarterback, do 10 victory jumps.
Challenge 3b: The other team just sacked your quarterback, do 10 burpees.
Challenge 4a: Your team fumbled, do 20 push-ups.
Challenge 4b: Your team recovered a fumble, watch the other person do their 20 push-ups.
Challenge 5: Every time either quarterback throws a complete pass, do 15 sit-ups.
Challenge 6: If either team calls a timeout, do a wall sit until their time out is over.
Challenge 7a: If your team has a loss of yards, do 2 mountain climbers for every yard lost.
Challenge 7b: If the other team has a loss of yards, do 1 tuck jump for every yard and raise your hands/cheer in celebration.
Challenge 8: Every time the halftime performer(s) say Superbowl, do 5 jump squats.
