Before we get into the workout, here is a little quick history lesson about the significance of today.
On this day, in 1776 in our country, the Declaration of Independence was adopted by the Continental Congress. So the Fourth of July has become America’s Independence Day and a federal holiday in the United States since 1941, but the tradition of Independence Day celebrations goes back to the 18th century. On July 2nd in 1776, the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence, and two days later delegates from the 13 colonies adopted the Declaration of Independence. From 1776 to present day, today has been celebrated as the birth of American independence or what a lot of people like to call America’s birthday. The 4th of July is celebrated with festivities ranging from fireworks, parades, and concerts to family gatherings and barbecues.
