As you may already know, we are a fan of working out. We are a fan of all sorts of types of workouts, including a Tabata style workout (if you are unsure of what a Tabata workout is, jump to the bottom of this article first***). We have a pretty sweaty one we made in which you can find here. The real bummer about a Tabata is the timing. It is a bit more work to do Tabatas because you need a good Tabata timer and really those are the King of Snoreville.
Music is what drives a lot of people through their workouts, so when I found a website dedicated to specifically coming up with workout playlist just for Tabatas, I thought it was too good to be true. The good news is that it really does exist and they have some killer playlists with some great workout songs that cue you when you need to start or stop your Tabata exercise.
This is a win and win all around.
Tabata Songs is that website and here is a bit of a sample playlist that they have edited for a Tabata workout.
Head over to Tabata songs to give it a listen and play it during your next Tabata workout!
What is your favorite song to workout to? Would it work for a Tabata style workout too?
***A Tabataย workout is a version of HIIT (high-intensity interval training).ย Each exercise in a given Tabata workout lasts only for four minutes. You workout hard for 20 seconds, then rest for 10 seconds.ย Completing eight rounds equals four minutes. Like a high-intensity interval training exercise, you push yourself as hard as you can. In this care for 20 seconds and rest for 10 secondsโthis is one set. You’ll complete eight sets of each exercise.***
