We are in the thick of summer. Literally, the humidity is at its highest and we are trying to find every way we can to feel like we are walking through a thick cloud. All winter we long for the dog days of summer yet when August rolls around we all start wishing for a bit cooler temps. Well, not maybe all of us, but it would be perfect if the weather was just the perfect temperature all year round. Anyway, we are getting a little sidetracked here. Since we are in the thick of the heat and humidity, keeping cool creeps up higher and higher on the priorityย list.
Here are 3 hacks to keep cool while still keeping it healthy –
Smoothie Popsicles
Instead of licking on those store-bought sugar filled popsicles as a way to keep cool, freeze a smoothie. The next time you make your favorite protein smoothie, make a double batch and pour the additional smoothie into a popsicle mold and throw it into the freezer. If you are a big chocolate fan, try this recipe:
Chocolate Protein Popsicles
2 scoops EBOOST PRIME, chocolate
1 banana
1/2 cup unsweetened milk alternative
1 cup spinach
Keep Hydrated
Go ahead and take an extra sip of water right now. Feels good, right? Just being outside can make us a bit sweatier than normal, so it is important to intake extra water to combat the heat of the summer days. We personally think the taste of water can get a bit boring, so we love adding our SUPER POWDER to some of our daily intake of water. It comes in Acai Pomegranate, Orange, and Pink Lemonade. Does anyone else think Pink Lemonadeย always tastes even better when you’re super thirsty? Not only does SUPER POWDER make your water taste WAY better it also adds essential vitamins and minerals to your bodyโa double win.
Go for a Swim
Take your workout to the pool. Not only will it keep you cool, but you can burn some killer calories while working out in the pool. You can see how to workout like Ryan Lochte hereย but still around and coming soon we will be sharing a workout you can perform in a backyard pool, hotel pool or any open water you can find and feel safe working out in.
