This topic certainly requires no intro. We have all been there… that day, week, month or year when you skip yet another workout and tell yourself there is always tomorrow. Well, say no more to excuses coming out of your mouth for reasons why you can’t get a workout in because we are about to crush some of the most common excuses we hear.
I don’t have time
This is one of the most eye-rolling excuses out there. Having time to get a workout in is not about finding the time. You have as much time in your day as anyone else. It is about making timeโmaking time for what is important. Making working out a priority. Most people that say โI donโt have timeโ also thinks you need 60 minutes or more to complete an effective workout. But if you have been here for a while, you already know we are all about quick effective workouts because they can give you incredible results too.
I cannot afford a gym membership
You don’t need a gym to workout and get the results you are achieving. We have plenty of at home workouts that you can do from interval training, HIIT style workouts, Tabata workouts, body weight workouts and more. You can find a more specific workout to try out for yourself here.
I am lacking motivation
There is no denying that we can feel more motivated some days over others. Motivation comes and goes just like any other emotion but just like with your other emotions there are ways in which you can control or encourage certain emotions to surface. Try changing up your routine, the excitementย of a new workout can be motivation enough. Pump yourself up with your favorite music or tune into fitness podcasts that offer motivation tips.
I am not seeing results
If you are being consistent with your appearance to show up and do the work while also challenging your body withย variety in your workouts, then it is time to look at your nutrition. If you aren’t constantly challenging yourself with variety while also being consistent in your training and bringing the intensity, then it is time to step up in the category that is lacking. Not seeing results is not the reason to throw in the towel.
