3 Fitness Trends That Will Dominate 2019
Climbing
No, not rock climbing even though we do admit it is pretty fun and can really challenge your muscles, but this time we are talking about vertical climbing machines. They have been lurking in the corners of some gyms for a few years now, but now they are making their way into boutique studios that are specificallyย just for vertical climbing. If you have tried that climber in the gym, then you know my just a few minutes in your legs and arms burn real good. Well, now imagine a whole 30 minute HIIT class using the vertical climber. Talk about the burn. You’ll be sweating buckets in no time after taking your first or one-hundredthย class. Just like some spinning studios, some of these climbing studios have you fully immerse in a dark room with loud music ready to party your way through the burn but you are so thankful for the distraction through the painโha.
Virtual Workouts
Gaining traction last year was the Mirror,ย a nearly invisible interactive home gym pop up in many living rooms across the world. Not surprisedย one bit, gyms are now learning that they need you in their gyms and not in front of your mirrors at home. This has inspired companies like Les Mills to come up with their own virtual on-demand. No need to have an actual person lead the class, these workouts are designed for gyms toย playย during their off-peakย times for anyone that wants to jump on in and give a guided workout like, Body Pump, Grit, and The Trip a go without the need of an instructor.
Workout at Work
No longer needing to leave the office to workout, more and more workout studios are popping up in office buildings. Companies are even going as far as encouraging their employees to jump into a workout class before meetings. This is one fitness trend that we are super excited about. If more companies can understand the importance of healthy employees and employees fueled by endorphins then imageย all the work that could get done. This is one trend that we are crossing all of our fingers and toes in hopes it will stick and grow in popularity for many years to come.
