Mornings can be challenging for a lot of people. It can depend on whether they are a morning person or not, if they have kids to feed, if they hit snooze too many times, if they like to get a workout done in the morning, etc. For our mornings, we try to get in our workouts first thing since we tend to have events in the evening that keep us tied up and unable to workout during the later hours. Unless one of our events is, in fact, a workout event then we are totally all about joining in the evening workout.
So all in all, we do our best to sneak in elements in our morning routine that help start us off on the right foot health-wise but are also grounding and calming to set us up for success and keep away the stress as long as possible.
3 Things Our Morning Routine Always Includes
Water + Probiotic
We are big on keeping hydrated and keeping our guts happy. We are so big into it that we created our very own Probiotic so that we don’t have to do research on trying to purchase other brands’ probiotics ever again. Since we created CULTURE we know exactly what we are giving our bodies and our guts are sure happy because of it! Drinking a big glass of room temperature water in the morning starts our bodies off nice and hydrated. After drinking our first glass of water we like to take our probiotic during the second glass to keep all engines firing inside properly fueled each morning.
Break a sweat
The best way we have found for our schedules and lives is to get ourย sweat in before we start the day. Sometimes we sweat in the evenings but starting off the day with sweat and increasing our heart rate and endorphins just makes us feel better the rest of the day. We find that we aren’t snacking on unhealthy snacks, not being lazy and really increasing our brain activity to work more efficiently. Plus, it leaves us without any excuses in the evening to skip a workout. So every morning about an hour after we wake up, we are sipping on our pre-workout, POW and out the door to get our beast mode on!
Green Protein Smoothie
We love a good smoothie. They take five minutes to make, involve little cleanup, and give you a greatย head start on your vegetable intake for the day. We switch up our smoothies to keep things interesting but most of them involve a hefty bunch of greens, our protein power, PRIME, some type of fat, a small dose of fruit, and sometimes we had our green powder SPRUCE into then to really be on top of our vegetable intake for the day.
