October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month, and we at EBOOST are reminding everyone to THINK PINK!
With breast cancer affecting over 210,000 women a year (according to a 2008 report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the United States. Approximately 425,000 women died from breast cancer in 2010. It also tops the list as the leading cancer death among women worldwide. Despite all of the awareness and research, the number of new breast cancer cases globally more than doubled over the last 30 years. And women arenโt alone. In 2012, an estimated 2,190 cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in men.
