There is such a thing as metabolism revving foods, but did you know that certain foods when paired together can have the same effect? Brocolli and garlic are some of the most well-known foods to grab when you are concerned with boosting your metabolism a bit. Interestingly enough, neither of these foods are on the list for food items that pair well together to have the same effect. We will leave broccoli and garlic to be their own superfoods on their own, but in the meantime check out this list of some of the best foods to pair together to kick your metabolism into the next gear.
Bell Peppers and Eggs
It is really as easy as cooking up some bell peppers and adding them to your eggs for a nice little egg scramble in the morning for breakfast.
Bell Peppers are rich in Vitamin C. Making sure you get an adequate amount of Vitamin C can help fight off cortisol. Cortisol is that sneaky hormone that causes fat to accumulate around the midsection. Say bye bye to your midsection with Vitamin C from Bell Peppers and Choline from eggs.
Oatmeal and Berries
Making sure your hormone called ghrelin is boosted is great in keeping your weight down. This is due to the idea that ghrelin is a hormone that controls hunger. Insoluble fiber boosts ghrelin and you guessed it, both Oatmeal and Berries are great sources of insoluble fiber.
Yogurt and Cinnamon
Go ahead, sprinkle a little cinnamon on everything, but don’t forget a little sprinkle on your morning yogurt. Not only can you add cinnamon to just about everything, it tastes great and contains powerful antioxidants that improve body composition and insulin sensitivity. Increasing your Vitamin D and Calcium rich foods to ward away fat absorption, plus a sprinkle of cinnamon sounds like an excellent choice to start your day with.
Tomorrow’s breakfast plan sounds like it will be a tasty one that your body will love. Grab a yogurt, throw on a little cinnamon, pour a nice tall glass of water with SUPER POWDER and you are ready to rock.
