3 Foods For Your Skin!

December 1, 2017

When it comes to nourishing the body with nutrients, it isn’t just to make us healthy on the inside. Sure it is all about that, but it is also about making us feel good and making us have a healthy appearance too. This just doesn’t mean having a fit physique or whatever a healthy physique means to you, but it literally changes our skin too!

There are a lot of products out there that promote healthy skin, but a lot can come from our food too!

Here are three foods that boost the skin a bit extra than the others:

blackberries

Berries

This one may not be as expected, but berries are great for your skin. Mainly because they are packed full of antioxidants. Aside from the greatness they serve loaded with vitamins, nutrients, and fiber, berries contain ellagic acid. Ellagic acid helps to reduce the breakdown of collagen as we age. Keeping the break down of collagen at bay keeps our skin resilient.

When choosing berries go for the vibrant ones! Throw some the next time you make a smoothie or top your yogurt with them. And if you don’t have berries within reach, our SUPER POWDER is packed with antioxidants as well.

cauliflower

Cruciferous Vegetables

Cruciferous vegetables are vegetables such as cauliflower, cabbage, garden cress, bok choy, broccoli, brussels sprouts and similar green leafy vegetables. Containing glucosinolates (sulfur-containing compounds and pungent), they help rid the colon of carcinogenic invaders and can help reduce the risk of cancers. The best part about cruciferous vegetables is their versatility: you can roast them, saute them, steam them or our favorite, throw them into a smoothie.

Egg Yolks

I am sure you have heard them used in DIY facemasks, but eating them helps the skin too. It is due to their high levels of Vitamin D. Vitamin D is the master when it comes to skin cell renewal. Not just in charge of healthy skin, but healthy teeth and hair too!

SUPER POWDER is also a great source of Vitamin D as well. Packing 250% of your daily intake, SUPER POWER is a great way to get your Vitamin D too!
