Staying hydrated doesn’t have to be complicated, nor it should be complicated. Being hydrated and drinking plenty of water should be something that is second nature to you. It should be a daily/hourly habit that you keep up on.
The pretty standard across the board recommendation for how much water you should be drinking a day is eight 8-ounce glasses or water which is 64oz. If you are an active person, then you should most definitely be drinking more.
The rule I like to stick by is drinking half of my body weight in ounces or drinking my eight 8-ounces glasses a day but then adding 2 more glasses of water for every hour of workout. Honestly, though at the end of the day I am probably consuming 100+ ounces of water which is well beyond what I need following the ‘half of my body weight in ounces rule’.
