Emma Heming Willis (if you haven’t heard of her) is an amazing Mama, with another one on the way, and (needless to say) the gorgeous wife of Bruce Willis. If you didn’t know, she has a beautiful website, called – Emma Heming Willisย – where she shares her life with her family, things she is passionate about and her very own product, CocoBaba being sold in the Europe already. She is truly a go-getter and loves sharing products, tips, and tricks she has learned along the way. Lucky for us she loves Eboost too!
Most recently, Emma shared ways to kick a cold to the curb. Her trick? Eboost plays a big role.
Take it away Emma –
When youโre a mom time does not stop for anything, not even an annoying cold. Nope. Momโs donโt get to take a sick day. We donโt have the luxury of crawling under the covers, shutting out the world and do nothing but eat chicken soup and drink lots of liquid. But Iโm sure like me, you remember those days? Oh I definitely do. Iโd go to Blockbuster and rent a few movies and just wait it out. Yeah, I said it, Blockbusterโa moment of silence for it please.
While I havenโt picked up a bad winter bug thus far (knock on wood,) but I still wanted to list off a bunch of ideas and solutions that could help get us through should we end up coming down with a cold. Itโs strange to think there is still no cure for the common cold, but at least we can do things to help us feel better and function while we power through it on the road to recovery.
Here are some natural ways to help combat your cold/flu:
Warm sea salt water gargle:ย This is not a bad idea to add into your daily routine. Gargling salt water may prevent upper respiratory infections. Healthlineย reported that this simple concoction actually reduces and loosens mucus in the throat.
EBOOST:ย I like drinking EBOOST daily as it helps prevent catching colds. So if you become ill, itโs a great boost (hence the name) to give you some serious natural energy. EBOOST provides vitamins, minerals and antioxidants to support every day health, energize your metabolism with premium vitamins and minerals plus antioxidants like quercetin and resveratrol and green tea.โ
Ginger Tea: Ginger helps relieve congestion and pressure. You can really reap the benefits from this root that has tons of healing benefits by making a simple tea drink . Try adding cinnamon, lemon juice, or honey for added flavor and healing ingredients. A warm cup of tea when you are sick is so comforting.
Garlic: Now, Iโve heard of some very brave people who pop a clove of garlic in their mouths and eat it. Intense I know, but garlic is a powerful antioxidant with antimicrobial, antiviral and antibiotic properties. For colds and flus, it also provides decongestant and expectorant effects. But if that sounds too much to stomachโ in a recent study it was found that people who took a garlic supplement ย reported fewer cases of the common cold. Itโs been said it could also reduce the severity of these symptoms.
Bone broth: Itโs still an oldie but goodie. Nothing like a cup of chicken soup to warm the soul. Bone broths contain minerals and amino acids that naturally support your immune system.ย If you have the time to make a fresh batch try this recipe from Dr. Axe or you can buy a pre-made one here .
Humidifier with eucalyptus oil: At night add 8 drops of eucalyptus ย oil to your humidifier .ย Eucalyptus softens the mucus in the passage ways by stimulating the sinus cavities, allowing the mucus to drain and relieve the overall congestion.
Water: This will help flush out the virus from your system. Try to drink at least 8 ounces every 2 hours.
Hereโs to not getting sick but having some ideas to fall back on if we do. Canโt wait for spring!!!
