When it comes to holidays, I tend to get a little theme-y. Yes, I am sure I made that word up and I am sticking to it!
Today’s holiday could be as healthy as they get since berries are already pretty patriotic in theme, you don’t have to get super creative to eat healthily and feel more theme-y with your food! And it is super easy.
Feel free to explore other berries and fruits you may feel like using to dress up your tart. There are no wrong answers when it comes to using healthy food and having a bit of fun with it. In the recipe below, I am going to share some of these other options you can pick, due to maybe that is just the way you are feeling or maybe you need to pick something over another due to ease or availability! Let the makin’ begin.
Patriotic EBOOST Fruit Tart
fruit (I picked cherries, blueberries, and bananas)
1 cup yogurt (I picked a nondairy plain coconut yogurt)
5 cashew cookie Larabars (you can also create your own crust like this one)
1 key lime
pinch of stevia
grab your tart pan and take the Larabars out of their wrappers
smash Larabars into a think connected layer on the bottom of the pan – filling the whole pan
in a small bowl, mix your yogurt with a squeeze of lemon, squeeze of lime and a pinch of stevia
when yogurt is to the desired tart yet sweet taste, pour on top of the crust, leaving about an inch of crust visible around the edge
place in the fridge for one hour
wash and cut fruits
take the tart out of the fridge and place fruit on top, however, you’d like – create a pattern or just place wherever (because no one is judging)
and you are done – pretty simple and pretty beautiful and pretty delicious
