Yup, another recipe with pumpkin in it but you already knew that was coming! Today’s EBOOST recipe is all about keeping toast exciting.
Bread is probably a staple in most people’s pantries. This country runs on bread. It is easy, tasty, and a good source of carbohydrates. The perfect macronutrient to fuel a workout. When it comes to bread there is a lot of controversy over bread in general or if you do buy bread what to pay attention to. Those bread facts are for another day, but at the very least picking a sprouted grain bread is definitely a healthy step in the right concert.
As much as we all love some peanut butter and toast, doesn’t that get boring (especially if you eat it every day)? Ha, who am I kidding? Toast with a nice slather of organic peanut butter or almond butter never gets boring. How about we pretend for a moment and give toast a little makeover that is perfect for this time of year (jumping on the pumpkin bandwagon). Especially those that swap out some toast for a rice cake… the epidemy of boring that always needs a flavor boost!
Protein Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread
1/4 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 cup cream cheese (Kite Hill almond spread is our preference)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp pumpkin spice
1 scoop EBOOST PRIME vanilla protein
mix all of the ingredients in a bowl
or into a blender, if you like a smoother texture
